Volunteer today! Volunteering at Seton is fun and rewarding, with a wide range of areas to explore. Expand your horizons and take advantage of the opportunities for helping those around you. We work with you to find an area that fits your interests and your schedule: the gift shop, the gift carts in the lobby, driving around Seton's parking lots with the Volunteers golf cart to assist patients to and from their cars - there's something for everyone!

Perhaps you prefer helping physicians or other staff members with office work, or working at the information desk answering phones. After a few shifts getting acquanited with your fellow volunteers and other Seton staff members, you'll feel right at home, like family. At Seton Northwest, every newborn leaves the hospital with a baby blanket made by loving hands of a volunteer.

Over 200 volunteers belong to the Seton Northwest Volunteers, and 20 of them have been with us since we opened our doors eleven years ago! Men and women, young and old, retired and currently working - they're all here with the same warm smile and caring attitude.

By joining our tight-knit group of volunteers, you become part of a support group that is held in high regard by the hospital staff and medical plaza. Our volunteers are greatly appreciated and encouraged in their service and fundraising activities.

Great Habits
Gift Shop and Deli

The Volunteers funded the remodeling of the gift shop. Great Habits gift shop and deli opened in November, 1999. If you're a "people" person and enjoy dealing with the public, the Great Habits Gift Shop is the place for you! Located on the first floor across from Peoples pharmacy, Great Habits features a wide variety of gift items, toys, flowers, live plants, cards, baby items, balloons and jewelry. Great Habits, open 7 days a week, is almost entirely staffed by volunteers. It represents the largest volunteer project at Seton Northwest, providing a large financial contribution to the hospital each year. Special shopping discouts are available for volunteers. To inquire about shifts available in the gift shop, please call 338-5050.

Great Habits Deli, located at the back of the gift shop, offers a wide variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches served up hot and fresh - and with that famous Seton smile.

Let us give you a ride

In 1999, the Volunteers realized that the parking lot was getting busier and fuller, meaning that patients had to park in the distant parts of the lot. So, we purchased a golf cart to transport our patients to and from their cars. Next time you come to Seton Northwest, look for our volunteer-driven golf cart!
